Hibiscus – Mellow Playlist 2018

Hello, friends! A couple of months ago, I was really inspired to do some writing, so I sat down and took the time to make a playlist to help me do just that. It’s called “hibiscus,” and it’s full of mellow music meant to help me calm down and open my mind, so most of the songs fall into the indie/indie-pop genres. Fun fact: all of my playlists on Spotify are named for flowers that correlate with the mood I want to feel while listening, so a hibiscus flower symbolizes one’s delicate beauty, typically of the recipient of the flower, and was usually worn by women. Though that doesn’t make as much sense now as it did when I first chose the name, I’ve learned not to question my past self, considering all things. 😉

There are 18 total songs on this track (and counting…) and I hope you consider giving a listen to some of these! I’m going to put an asterisk next to my top three favorite songs on this playlist just so you know which ones I’ll always click first.

There you have it! I think the last few I just recently added a couple of weeks ago, so I haven’t listened to them as much as the others, but they’re still pretty good songs, from what I’ve heard. If any of you decide to look up this playlist, my Spotify username is thefredchick. Have a good song for me to add? Don’t hesitate to let me know. 🙂

I’m laughing because some of the songs on this playlist definitely aren’t mellow, but they’re all nice, calming songs to listen to while on the beach, and are eclectic enough to get some creative juices flowing.

Cec ❤

    1. Yes, at first I remember adding that song to my playlist as a skeptic, but after I posted this I definitely fell into the alluring lull of this song; it’s a genre I’d never pick by myself, but I’m glad I heard it!! Thank you so much ❤️
