Hey, friends! Today, I’ll be doing the Friday 56 to Strange the Dreamer by Laini Taylor. I mentioned buying this book on my “Planned” Book Haul a little bit ago, and I finished it this past Sunday. For those of you that want to know my thoughts, an excerpt of my review has been uploaded onto my Goodreads profile, and the full review will be out tomorrow afternoon, so look forward to that!
This is hosted every Friday by Freda’s Voice, and here are the rules:
Rules:
*Grab a book, any book.
*Turn to page 56 or 56% in your eReader
(If you have to improvise, that’s ok.)
*Find any sentence, (or few, just don’t spoil it)
*Post it.
*It’s that simple.
His books were not his dream. Moreover, he had tucked his dream into their pages like a bookmark and been content to leave it there for too long.
This quote is from page 56 in the book, which is the beginning of chapter seven. I very very highly recommend this book, and it’s definitely my favorite book I’ve read this year. This quote is a nice example of how Lazlo, one of the main characters, really wants to explore and discover the Unseen City, but reading the minimal information given about the city, wasn’t going to get him there. He needed to travel.
For those of you that haven’t read the book: does he get there?

Thank you so much! It’s so hard to write a review for such a good book; you just want to spoil everything. 😉
