Hi, friends! So, today I thought I’d try something a little bit newer… The Friday 56, hosted by Freda’s Voice. I’ve seen blog posts about this popping up into both my feed and my email inbox every Friday with these cool, creative posts, and I thought I’d try it out.
*Grab a book, any book.
*Turn to page 56 or 56% in your eReader
(If you have to improvise, that’s ok.)
*Find any sentence, (or few, just don’t spoil it)
*It’s that simple.
I’m not sure what she expects me to say, but I tell her, “You’re talented and you work hard, and those things are even better than luck.”
This quote is from page 56 in the book Atlantia by Ally Condie, the same author that wrote the hit Matched trilogy. I read this book a couple of years ago, so I didn’t quite understand what was going on at his point in the book, but I know that when I say this quote, I knew that I had to share it with you guys. I love how true the words ring, because some people don’t quite know the difference between deserving something and getting lucky.
