Crooked Kingdom – Leigh Bardugo | The Photoshoot

You have absolutely no idea how done I am with school right now. Jeez. I had two quizzes on Thursday, and three Friday. Add that to some Latin homework that doesn’t make sense…I can’t right now.

But I didn’t come back from that creepy 14 day break I took (So sorry about that!) to talk about how much I hate school. No, I came back to talk about…

Well, I honestly don’t know.

I can talk about the book I just got on Tuesday. I know, it’s been a while, but I got Crooked Kingdom by Leigh Bardugo! You can find my post about how excited I was for its release under the tab titled, ‘Upcoming Book Releases.’

And here are the pictures!!

So, I’m feeling up this book like there’s no tomorrow, and it is beautiful. The sides of the pages are red, as opposed to the black of Six of Crows.

Here are two pictures of the beautiful visuals we were given by the forever talented Keith Thompson. The first is yet another map of the world Leigh has built up for us, including Ravka, Fjerda, Shu Han, Kerch, and Novyi Zem. The second is a cool map + legend of the city of Ketterdam in Kerch. I apologize for my terrible picture-taking.

If you’d like to see a better version of that first map I have, click the link here. For those of you Grisha fans, you immediately recognize that this is a picture from Leigh’s Shadow and Bone trilogy, simply because the Unsea in Ravka isn’t dried/stitched up like it is in the Six of Crows duology universe.

The legendary Grisha guide, as well as the page that introduces us to the first part of the book.

I took more pictures, but I think you guys have seen enough of my terrible picture-taking for one night.

Comment some of your thoughts on the book. Exterior-wise, of course. I haven’t started it yet.
