Top Ten Tuesday: My Favorite Book Characters

All of my friends know that I love to read. If I didn’t like to read, I don’t think I’d be speaking to you at all. I have had many favorite characters over the past few years of avid reading, but here, I have provided you with a top ten list of my absolute favorites.

Alec Lightwood – The Mortal Instruments

Alec Lightwood, I feel, is one of the most realistic characters I have ever encountered in the books I read. I like how relatable some of his awkwardness is to me, and how real and blunt he can be.

Fred Weasley – Harry Potter

Fred Weasley is definitely different from George Weasley, and I feel that this is what happens: people like Fred more than George because we usually hear a little bit more about him, and then people start to pity George. Then they like George more. So now I like Fred more because I don’t think many people like him. And because I love the name Fred.

Percy Jackson – Percy Jackson and the Olympians/Heroes of Olympus

Percy is one of the few main characters that I actually like, and he didn’t disappoint at all throughout the next series.

Nico di Angelo – Percy Jackson and the Olympians/Heroes of Olympus

Nico, I feel, was a sweet kid from the beginning. There were times when I thought he was being a little unreasonable, but overall, Nico’s just a grief-stricken teenager.

Luna Lovegood – Harry Potter

Luna Lovegood is one of those random, quirky characters that I just can’t help but want to quote all the time.

Jesper Fahey – Six of Crows

Jesper is my absolute favorite character in Six of Crows. I love his whole personality, how he likes to flirt with Waylan…all of it.

Inej Ghafa – Six of Crows

I love how stealthy and swift Inej is. I always seem to like characters like that.

Marcus “Radar” Lincoln – Paper Towns

Radar was a really interesting character to me. I love how he was so adorable nervous to show his girlfriend Angela his parents because of their large collection of black Santas.

Jem Carstairs – The Infernal Devices

I really love how calm Jem is in the books. He always seems to be the voice of reason when it comes to his parabatai, William Herondale.

Leo Valdez – The Heroes of Olympus

Leo is literally the coolest guy there. That’s all I have to say about this beautiful, beautiful soul. 😉

Do you guys have any favorites? Let me know!

Thanks,

Yellow Eccentricity
