Hey, guys. So, I was reading a post from another blog, and I saw that she suggested (For those of you with Goodreads.) Going to your read shelf, then clicking ‘Stats’ up in the top right. It shows you how many books you’ve read in the current year, in comparison to previous years. So far, 2014 is winning. 2015 is in second place, then 2016, then 2013.
I have six books listed.
I then realized: I haven’t read six books. I read nine. Not that that’s any better, but still. It is a difference.
It’s just that one book was for English, so I left that out, and the other two were The Selection and The Elite, and I already have those listed for the first time I read them back in…you guessed it.
2014.
This year, I was in a terrible reading slump, and as the new school year starts, I am going to try to read a lot more. This school year will, no doubt, be the busiest school year of all time, but I don’t want to let that affect anything.
Tonight, I thought I’d list some of the books that I’m really planning on reading this summer.
- The Crown by Kiera Cass
- The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern
- Crooked Kingdom by Leigh Bardugo– Comes out in exactly a month!!!
- Glass Sword by Victoria Aveyard
- Magnus Chase and the Gods of Asgard by Rick Riordan
Okay, I’m going to stop myself right there. I’m nowhere close to being done with that list, but as I look at all of these books on my shelves that I gave yet to read, I know that this could possibly be an impossible task. I’d have no time to do anything else.
But I’m sitting here wholly prepared to tell you that I will try as hard as I can to get close to my 2015 and 2014 book count. I’ll provide the counts down below for you:
2015: 21 books, 10039 pages
2014: 34 books, 11251 pages
Wow. That might be hard. I’ll set my goal to 20 books.
Yellow Eccentricity
I failed this so bad, you guys.
